Kiriti Roy stories: where to start listening
Character · কিরীটী রায় · 6 stories · 2 channels
Six and a half feet tall, fair, curly hair brushed back, black celluloid glasses. That is how Nihar Ranjan Gupta pictured Kiriti Roy. Gupta (1911-1986) was a dermatologist who also wrote novels. He met Agatha Christie in England, and back home he wrote Kalo Bhromor, the novel that introduced Kiriti.
Subrata is Kiriti's friend and assistant, and he tells some of the stories. Kiriti meets Krishna in Kalo Bhromor, and she becomes his wife. Gupta wrote more than 100 Kiriti novels and stories, and the 15-volume Kiriti Omnibus collects many of them, though not all.
Kiriti has 6 recordings on this page, from Mirchi Bangla's Sunday Suspense and from THRILLER LAND. One Best of Sunday Suspense upload carries Holud Shaitan and Projapoti Rong again, together in a single file of more than four hours. On a first day, try the 33-minute Bagh Nokh.
