This story has been taken from ‘Premendra Mitrer Golpo Sangraha’ published by Dey’s Publishing. A city youth arrives in the remote, malaria-stricken village of Telenapota, where he meets Jamini. Her elderly mother mistakes him for Niranjan—the man who once promised to marry Jamini but never returned.
