The Cask of Amontillado

Montresor, seeking revenge for an unnamed insult, lures his unsuspecting acquaintance Fortunato into the catacombs beneath his home with the promise of tasting a rare wine—Amontillado. Fortunato, drunk and prideful, follows eagerly. As they go deeper, Montresor chains him to a wall and buries him alive, brick by brick.
