MoodKolkata is made and run by Advertia Digital. Using the site means accepting what is written here. It is short because the site is simple.

What this is

A way to listen to Bengali songs and audio stories by mood, by occasion, by the weather and by the time of day. It is free and nothing is for sale. MoodKolkata runs no advertising of its own; YouTube may show its own ads inside its player, as it does wherever its videos are embedded, and we do not block or alter them.

The songs and stories are not ours

MoodKolkata does not own any of the songs, stories or videos you hear here, and it hosts none of them. Every one plays on YouTube, inside YouTube's own player, from the channel that published it, and all rights stay with those channels and rights-holders. We do not copy, re-upload, download or redistribute any of it, and we claim no ownership of any title, artwork or recording.

What MoodKolkata adds is the way to listen: finding the right song for the moment, stories in order, a radio that follows the day. Because every play happens on YouTube, the views, and any ads YouTube shows, belong to the channel that made it. MoodKolkata takes no share of them.

Playback uses the YouTube API Services. By using MoodKolkata you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and YouTube's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Our own use of those services is governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.

Video preview is your setting

MoodKolkata is built for listening, so by default a song plays without its video on screen. On a computer the video is always one click away, and the More page lets you choose whether it opens by itself for songs and for stories. Whether the video is shown is a choice you make and can change at any time; MoodKolkata is not responsible for the viewing setting you choose.

If you hold rights in something listed here and would rather it were not, write to [email protected] and it will be removed — no argument, no delay.

Your account

An account is optional and exists only to carry your library between devices. Keep your email secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Ask us and the account and everything in it is deleted. We may close an account that is being used to abuse the site or its infrastructure.

Photo of the Day, the Pandal Passport and invites

Your photo, your responsibility. You may send only a photo you took yourself and have the right to share. By sending it you confirm that, and you accept full responsibility for it, including any claim that it copies someone else's work. MoodKolkata does not check who owns a photo and is not liable for anything a reader sends.

Real photos only. Images made or substantially altered with AI, photos of screens, collages, watermarked or copied pictures, and anything offensive, unlawful or showing a private person who could object are rejected or taken down. Every photo is checked before it appears, and we decide, without giving reasons, what is shown, what is removed and when.

What you let us do. You keep the copyright. You give MoodKolkata permission, free of charge and without end date, to show the photo on this site and on MoodKolkata's social media pages, resized or cropped to fit, with the credit you gave (your Instagram name or your leaderboard name). Ask us at [email protected] and we will take it down from the site and stop using it; posts already shared by others are outside our control.

Voting and winning. Each day's winner is the approved photo with the most votes from signed-in readers. There is no prize of any kind; the title and the credit are the reward. We may remove votes or entries that come from fake or automated accounts, or from anyone trying to get round the one-vote rule, and we may change or end the contest. MoodKolkata is not liable if a photo is not approved, not chosen, not shown, or taken down.

Points, badges and the leaderboard have no money value and cannot be exchanged for anything. A check-in must be made at the pandal; we may remove points that come from faked locations or impossible travel. An invite counts only when a new account is made from your link; making accounts to credit yourself is not allowed.

What you can expect

The site is offered as it is. Tracks can disappear without notice when an uploader removes them or turns off embedding, the weather and festival signals can be wrong, and nothing here is guaranteed to be available at any particular moment. We do not promise uninterrupted service and, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the site — but we do care that it works, and [email protected] reaches someone who will fix it.

What is ours

The site itself is Advertia Digital's: its design, pictures, text, code, and the way its songs and stories are chosen and arranged. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse any of it without our written permission.

Using the site properly

Use MoodKolkata for your own listening. You may not use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access it or copy its content or listings; send it traffic meant to slow it down or take it offline; try to get round its security, rate limits or other protections; or probe it for weaknesses. We may block, without notice, any person, device or network that does, and close any account involved.

Changes

These terms can change; the date at the top moves when they do. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal having jurisdiction.
