Durga Puja 2026 special menus in Kolkata: who has announced, and who has not yet
Every Puja menu that Kolkata's restaurants, hotels and rajbaris have put out themselves, with dates, prices and a link to their own post, and the big names still to announce. Updated as menus are announced.
In this post (6)
On 27 September last year, Taj Bengal asked Kolkata on Instagram to book its Durga Pujo thali at Sonargaon. It was the day before Shashthi. This year the same kind of post came on 8 October, eight days before Shashthi, with lunch and dinner hours and no price. The Puja is 18 days later than last year and the menu cards have followed it: by the week of Mahalaya, most of the big hotels had put theirs out. This page is about them first.
Everything in the list stands on one rule: only a place's own website, Instagram or Facebook counts. A place that has said nothing yet is listed as not announced. What follows is what the places themselves have published, not a tasting.

Sovabazar Rajbari: fixed days, fixed price
If you want a Puja lunch with the Puja itself in the next room, it is this one. The Rajbari's Facebook page first put the notice up on 19 July and has posted it again since, word for word: from Shashthi, 16 October, to Mahanavami, 20 October, the house serves visitors a bhog lunch of 12 niramish dishes with mineral water, at ₹550 a plate for each day. Booking is by phone, through the contact named on the post. Wikipedia's article on the Rajbari records that Raja Nabakrishna Deb held his Durga Puja on a grand scale in 1757, after Plassey, with Clive and Warren Hastings on the list of guests. A plate here puts you at the tail end of that story.
The post does not list the 12 dishes, and the replies under the notice show that people are asking two things: whether they may choose the day, and whether Navami brings anything non-vegetarian. Ask both on the phone. What bhog is, and what the older Sovabazar house offers the goddess, is in our Durga Puja bhog explainer.
Park Street and Ballygunge: the hotels
The Park has three things going. The Bridge's post gives Bhoj O Adda five days, 16 to 20 October, with a number to book, and a later reel calls it a brunch and dinner. The hotel's offers page sells a three-night stay from 18 October with one Mahabhoj for two and a seat at its Puja, down to sindoor khela. And the hotel's own account is counting down to its tenth Puja with the Mahabhoj, booked through the link on its profile. None of the three has a price on the hotel's own pages yet. At Hyatt Centric Ballygunge, the Pujo buffet has a name and an early-bird price but no dates on the hotel's own posts: ₹1,999 plus taxes for the first 50 guests, lunch or dinner. Its Mahalaya thali is fully out: Saturday 10 October at YAYAvar, with Mutton and Chicken Dak Bungalow and Bhetki Paturi, ₹1,299 vegetarian and ₹1,699 non-vegetarian, plus taxes.
ITC has put dates on its Mahabhoj: a festive buffet from 18 to 20 October, 1 to 4 pm and 7 to 11.30 pm, in a reel on ITC Sonar's account that names neither the restaurant nor the price. The same hotels are also sending a Mahabhoj home this October through their own app: pulao, kosha mangsho, chingri malai curry, fish paturi. Taj Bengal's Sonargaon post of 8 October has the thalis and the hours, lunch 1 to 4 pm and dinner 7 to 11.45 pm, but no dates or prices.
Tavern Behind Trincas is the odd one on this list, and we like it for that. It is adding lunch for the Puja, 2 to 4 pm from 15 to 20 October, alongside dinner, with live Bangla music through both, and it has not said what it will cook beyond "Bengali-inspired festive specials". One thing to know before you plan an Ashtami afternoon there: the state has ordered that no alcohol be sold on Ashtami, Monday 19 October.
Aaheli and ITC's Eden Pavilion have both said yes without saying how much. Aaheli's Puja post splits the Puja by outlet: thali and à la carte at Peerless Hotel and Sarat Bose Road, a buffet at Axis Mall. When someone asked the buffet price under the post, the page replied by private message. ITC's reel invites you to make Eden Pavilion part of your Pujo plans, with a phone number and no dates. 6 Ballygunge Place has one Pujo buffet for the whole run, Panchami to Dashami, at Ballygunge, New Town (Ecosuite), Chowringhee and Salt Lake Sector 1; its post of 7 October names Bhetki Paturi, Mutton Dak Bungalow and Chitol Machher Muitha, and no price.
Offers running now, and Mahalaya
Kasturi's Raja Rani Thali at ₹349 runs at its outlets until Mahalaya, 10 October, tagged as Pujo food in its own post; its 32nd-birthday dishes at ₹132 ended on 2 October, and it has nothing yet for the Puja days. 6 Ballygunge Place keeps its Narkel Utsav, a coconut festival, going until 11 October, by its post of 28 September. For Mahalaya it has a buffet at four outlets, by its post of 3 October: ₹1,750 non-vegetarian, ₹1,550 vegetarian and ₹1,350 for children, plus GST, and ₹1,500, ₹1,300 and ₹1,100 plus GST at its Sodepur branch. On weekday dinners until 14 October, a table that turns up in dhoti-panjabi or a sari gets 25 per cent off.
Rajbaris: one table laid, the rest still invitations
Mahishadal Rajbari in Purba Medinipur has gone from an invitation to a table. Its post of 7 October offers bhog and a feast in the rajbari's courtyard every day from Shashthi to Bijoya, 16 to 21 October, booked by phone, with no price given. The Rajbari Bawali's reel of 26 September promises courtyards, old verandahs and familiar Bengali flavours, with no dates and no price; none of its newer posts names a Puja menu, and its website has no Puja page. Itachuna Rajbari's five-second Durga Puja video of 22 September is still its only word on the Puja.
Yet to announce
- Bhojohori Manna: no Puja menu yet. Its website still carries last year's Puja Menu 2025 for Kolkata, Siliguri, Puri and Bengaluru.
- Oh! Calcutta: no Puja menu yet; its latest Pujo post is Sourav Ganguly talking about Pujo food at the table. Last year it announced a special lunch buffet at Silver Spring and Forum Mall on 25 September 2025, for 27 September to 2 October.
- Kasturi: no Puja-days menu yet; its ₹349 thali ends on 10 October.
- Koshe Kosha, and Tero Parbon in Golpark: Puja greetings and an invitation to come and eat, no Puja menu yet.
When will the rest come?
Going by last year, soon. In 2025 Oh! Calcutta posted its Puja buffet three days before Shashthi; this year that falls on Tuesday 13 October, the week after Mahalaya. The full calendar, with the tithis, is in our Durga Puja 2026 day by day.
Our advice, then: if Sovabazar's bhog is what you want, call now. It is still the only Puja-days lunch on this page with its days and its price both fixed, and it is the kind that fills. For the hotels, ask the price on the phone before you book, because most have not printed one. Every Puja has a year when the family says nobody is cooking on Navami, and somebody has to book the table. This page is for that person.
